About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support day-to-day retail operations
- Provide an inspiring in-store experience for team members, customers, and community members
- Conduct retail sales and operate point-of-sale devices
- Sort, price, and prepare donations for sale
- Assist with visual merchandising and store presentation
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Display stock in correct departments according to policy and procedure
- Follow Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Demonstrate The Salvation Army’s core values in work-related activities
- Report to the Store Manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- Retail sales experience highly regarded but not essential
- Strong customer service skills
- Genuine passion and ability to deliver outstanding results
- Alignment with values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity
- High-energy, hands-on individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility to work a rolling roster including weekends and across various retail locations
- Successful completion of a mandatory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
- Working with Children Check required for child-facing roles
