About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare, review, negotiate, and administer commercial documentation, including NDAs, DPAs, client agreements, variations, statements of work, and partner contracts
  • Review contractual terms, identify risks and opportunities, and provide practical commercial recommendations
  • Manage contract execution through DocuSign and maintain accurate commercial records
  • Produce commercial summaries and contract briefings for internal stakeholders
  • Monitor contract renewals, notice periods, obligations, commitments, milestones, and compliance requirements
  • Communicate client commercial arrangements across the business
  • Own smaller client commercial projects and negotiations independently
  • Support complex commercial negotiations with the Group Commercial Director
  • Develop sustainable pricing and remuneration models
  • Support client, procurement, and legal discussions during negotiations
  • Work with Finance on payment terms, credit considerations, and commercial reconciliations
  • Identify, manage, and escalate legal and commercial risks
  • Support new business pitches, proposal development, contractual reviews, and commercial modelling
  • Build bespoke commercial solutions tailored to client requirements
  • Cost projects and evaluate commercial viability
  • Maintain commercial databases, trackers, and governance processes
  • Support commercial reporting, profitability analysis, and business insight initiatives
  • Improve commercial processes, controls, and documentation
  • Supervise, support, coach, train, and review the Commercial Level 1 Executive
  • Help allocate and prioritise Commercial team workload
  • Support performance management, objective setting, and development planning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Practical experience reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements
  • Strong commercial awareness and sound business judgement
  • Experience working within a fast-paced commercial environment
  • Excellent writing, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • High attention to detail and excellent document management skills
  • Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders internally and externally
  • Experience within media, marketing services, advertising, procurement, or professional services (desirable)
  • Knowledge of GDPR and data protection principles (desirable)
  • Experience of commercial modelling, pricing, or profitability analysis (desirable)
  • Familiarity with DocuSign or similar contract management tools (desirable)
  • Exposure to procurement or legal negotiation processes (desirable)
  • Commercially minded and naturally curious
  • Proactive and solutions focused
  • Comfortable reviewing, interpreting, and working with contracts, legal documentation, and formal commercial agreements
  • Ability to translate complex language into clear, practical business recommendations
