About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and manage primary relationships with key policyholders and producers through frequent on-site visits, professional negotiation, responsive communication, problem resolution, and meeting customer expectations
- Liaise between home office departments and customers to initiate plan improvements and resolve administrative inconsistencies
- Organize face-to-face pre-renewal visits to present claims analyses, review contract adequacy, recommend coverage or contractual changes, and manage amendments
- Partner with sales representatives and underwriters to monitor renewal activity and prepare customized renewal strategies
- Gather underwriting data, review claims experience, justify renewals, and recommend changes
- Negotiate rates, contract provisions, and administrative issues with Regional or National Accounts
- Identify and promote additional lines of coverage or plan improvements
- Request and review in-force proposal requests and present proposals to brokers and policyholders
- Support acquisition, submission, and implementation of National Accounts and Regional Accounts cases over 500 lives
- Lead submission, setup, and installation of assigned new groups and support new administrators at in-force accounts
- Facilitate enrollment processes, including preparing materials, conducting enrollment meetings, and attending benefit fairs
- Support business growth, profitability, and client retention through account management strategy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of experience in group insurance account management in the 2500+ lives space
- Life and Disability insurance license for all states within the office’s assigned territory
- Personal automobile available for business use with adequate insurance
- Safe driving record
- Ability to travel within territory for face-to-face client and broker meetings when requested
- Must reside in one of the listed states: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts
- Successful completion of criminal background investigation and employment, education, and licensing verification
- Must be bondable
