About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deter, detect, and apprehend individuals attempting theft and fraud
  • Facilitate civil and criminal prosecution
  • Report incidents and collaborate closely with police
  • Attend court as required
  • Use CCTV equipment and conduct floor walking for store surveillance
  • Collaborate with Organized Retail Crime Investigators on external losses involving repeat offenders and organized groups
  • Report internal dishonesty to Regional Internal Investigators
  • Support Supply-chain Investigators on potential supply chain losses
  • Collaborate with Loss Prevention Remote Investigators to identify and report external incidents to law enforcement
  • Support District Loss Prevention Managers by reporting possible shrink opportunities
  • Report directly to a Store Investigation’s Supervisor
  • Potentially support multiple stores and/or markets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Law and Security/Loss Prevention Diploma preferred
  • Relevant experience in Retail Loss Prevention, Military, Security, or Law Enforcement encouraged
  • Provincial security license required (where applicable)
  • Valid driver’s license preferred, with access to a vehicle and good driving record
  • Strong understanding of the Criminal Code and its application to retail crimes
  • Candidates aged 18 and over will be required to undergo a criminal record check
