About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Comprehensively evaluate degree progress before and at completion to ensure academic and administrative catalog requirements are satisfied for degree conferral
- Provide timely customer service to high-volume internal and external customers by phone, chat, email, and face to face
- Evaluate and process student-record forms while upholding regulatory and institutional policies
- Respond to enrollment and degree verification inquiries
- Respond to government and lender documents for validity and communicate accurate student information
- Ensure compliance with federal FERPA regulations and appropriate disclosure of student records
- Verify and update student information to assist in financial-aid and other funding disbursement
- Manage grade posting and updates in SIS, coordinating with faculty to ensure record accuracy
- Innovate for efficiency, department improvement, and improved student experience
- Generate and evaluate reports supporting records maintenance and student-request processing
- Partner with BTS and other departments to ensure technical updates are accurate and approved
- Collaborate across departments to improve student experiences and staff processes
- Practice Culture of Care pillars daily
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent typing skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Knowledge of FERPA guidelines
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Critical thinking skills
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
