About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Senior Finance Business Partner for teaching activity in delivering high-quality financial services to the University
  • Assist with pay and non-pay budget setting
  • Monitor budgets and report performance
  • Provide transactional support and high-quality financial advice
  • Monitor and report on academic pay, vacancies, and workload allowances
  • Liaise with Finance colleagues, HR Business Partners, and Business Managers
  • Assist in reviewing and developing transactional processes
  • Support process improvements within the academic finance team
  • Maintain and develop financial systems, business partnering, and reporting within academic units
  • Provide decision support to Finance leaders and academic schools
