About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and sustain data engineering projects, ad-hoc requests, prototypes, and research initiatives
  • Work with business, science, and technology teams to understand scope, requirements, business needs, and company-wide data
  • Design and deliver data pipelines for strategic data-driven solutions
  • Develop, enhance, and implement systems for advanced analytic data solutions
  • Aggregate and manipulate data for science models, visualizations, and applications
  • Leverage GenAI tools to improve efficiency and deliver AI-based solutions
  • Explore and integrate GenAI tools and techniques into data engineering processes
  • Develop understanding of business domains and processes and apply it to assigned deliverables

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience in technology roles, preferably in data engineering
  • Strong experience with ELT/ETL data pipeline development and maintenance
  • Experience with source-to-target mapping
  • Proven expertise using Python and SQL
  • Familiarity with GenAI concepts and tools, including LLMs, embeddings, and prompt engineering
  • Ability to understand business domains to gather data requirements and design data solutions
  • Experience developing in multiple environments such as Dev, QA, and Prod
  • Experience leveraging DevOps procedures for code deployment and promotion
  • Strong understanding of database and data warehouse design
  • Proficiency with data platforms such as PostgreSQL or Snowflake
  • Experience managing and deploying code using GitLab or GitHub
  • Ability to formulate solutions and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical team members
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multi-team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
