About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the VP, Production & Planning in strategically planning feature films and other studio projects
- Use historical data to inform current and future planning, identify complexity, efficiency, and budget review areas, and recommend improvements
- Manage the evolution and maintenance of production plan templates for features, specials, and shorts
- Create initial production plans and resource schedules for projects without an assigned Associate Producer
- Work with Development to incorporate development timelines into production plans
- Collaborate with Finance to translate early show plans into budgets
- Create and consolidate production scenarios to optimize studio resources, minimize production risks, and support slate planning
- Generate production dashboards, reports, and presentations from historical project data
- Provide recommendations to Associate Producers on inventory flow strategies, challenges, and opportunities
- Partner with Production leadership to establish consistent production milestones and dashboards
- Partner with Production Finance to assess financial impacts of production planning assumptions
- Manage a team supporting Autodesk Flow Production Tracking and production dashboards
- Own and support workforce planning tools and resource-planning dashboards
- Partner with Technology leaders to prioritize process-improvement initiatives and guide tool development
- Monitor industry trends and explore technologies affecting production scheduling, data management, and visualization
- Partner with the Data Team on trend analysis and predictive production and workforce forecasts
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of production experience
- 5+ years of production leadership experience is preferred
- Specialized knowledge of the production process in animation
- Deep understanding of animation workflows and the management of production environments
- Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills
- Critical and analytical thinking with a high aptitude for strategic planning and tactical execution across simultaneous projects
- Ability to identify and track priorities
- Ability to communicate, interact, and partner effectively with production leadership, creative talent, and executives inside the Company
- Ability to drive results and generate and promote new and innovative ideas
- Adaptability in an ever-changing environment
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint/Keynote, Google platforms, and ShotGrid
- Customer service-oriented and an intuitive troubleshooter
- High level of confidentiality and discretion
- Ability to travel as needed
- Must be available to work onsite 3–5 days per week
