About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead adoption of Value Stream Management and improve program lifecycle and operating models
  • Drive the largest and most strategic technical programs with the highest complexity, risk, and priority
  • Build and scale services or platforms within a Data Platforms organization
  • Drive execution and delivery of high-profile technical, product, and software development projects from start to finish
  • Partner with engineering, product management, and analytics leaders on strategic and tactical program objectives
  • Forecast project risks and resolve key blockers
  • Develop and execute change management and communication plans
  • Report progress and raise issues with stakeholders
  • Document and communicate decisions, accomplishments, problems, plan changes, and forward plans to executive stakeholders
  • Lead organizational-level technical discussions and drive decisions and next steps
  • Assist in triage of other projects and programs and recommend actions to senior leadership
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and go-to person for program management guidance
  • Manage smaller teams of professional employees as needed
  • Define, optimize, and manage Agile project management processes at the team-of-teams level
  • Manage capacity across teams of teams to balance delivery priorities
  • Fill gaps across roles and functions as an adaptive problem solver
  • Create a collaborative environment that promotes transparency, autonomy, innovation, and continuous learning
  • Coordinate schedules and deliverables with technical program managers and technical leads

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience required
  • Proven ability to facilitate effective communication across disparate teams
  • Strong planning, delivery, and problem-solving skills
  • Superb written and verbal communication, presentation, and meeting facilitation skills, especially with senior leadership
  • Formal project management certifications preferred
  • Experience working in a media technology environment
  • Technology domain knowledge or demonstrated aptitude for learning a technology-based engineering domain
  • Ability to work autonomously on multiple assignments
  • Ability to influence senior leadership on strategic decisions, technical trade-offs, and long-term delivery strategy
  • Expertise in program management
  • Understanding of architecture, tools, and deployment practices
  • Knowledge of team-of-teams Agile software development lifecycle methodologies, principles, and practices
