Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive complex, cross-functional programs and initiatives across Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+
  • Own program-level outcomes end to end, from scoping and sequencing through delivery
  • Develop project plans and drive execution and delivery of multiple programs across teams
  • Identify dependencies and keep business partners informed of progress
  • Align engineering, product management, and cross-functional leaders on roadmap, vision, and strategy
  • Influence direction and reduce complexity across cross-functional teams
  • Develop team dynamics, morale, and motivation while fostering an inclusive culture
  • Partner with engineering to balance cost and benefit, scalability, business goals, and customer needs
  • Negotiate competing requirements and stakeholder preferences
  • Learn technical systems and issues quickly
  • Evaluate and improve processes continuously
  • Mentor other program leads and shape how teams work

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of experience in the software industry with established Technical Program Management experience
  • Proven track record leading complex, cross-functional programs and initiatives from scoping through delivery
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile and other software delivery methodologies
  • Experience across the software development lifecycle, including delivery, release management, and technical program governance
  • Experience collaborating with product, design, engineering, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to identify, analyze, prioritize, mitigate, and communicate project risks
  • Proactive approach and ability to guide other program leads in process development
  • Meeting leadership, communication, teamwork, collaboration, flexibility, problem-solving, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience required
  • Program or project management certification (PMP, CSM, CSP, or similar) preferred
  • Experience in streaming media software and digital technology preferred
  • Expertise in software delivery management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Airtable preferred
  • Technical proficiency through coding skills, quality assurance experience, technical writing background, or similar expertise preferred
