About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead end-to-end delivery of specific feature sets, including backlog refinement, user story creation, and managing day-to-day activities for a scrum team
- Support senior PMs on large-scale initiatives
- Act as a primary point of contact for routine stakeholder inquiries and support requests
- Triage and help resolve data quality issues efficiently
- Create and maintain product documentation, including data dictionaries and user guides
- Partner with data analysts and business leaders to elicit requirements for small-to-medium enhancements and transform them into executable vision
- Monitor data product health and identify risks
- Coordinate with Data Reliability Engineering to resolve data incidents and manage backfills
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Data Science, and Governance teams
- Build and manage content data products that unlock the value of Disney’s content portfolio across distribution channels
- Translate raw data signals into actionable insights across Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 3+ years of product management experience, or relevant experience in data platforms or analytics-heavy roles
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Foundational understanding of Big Data ecosystems and SQL
- Ability to engage in technical discussions and understand data flow patterns
- Demonstrated ability to break down work into MVPs and subsequent iterations, following established guidelines and procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience or familiarity with Media or Entertainment industry datasets, preferred
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker, preferred
- Exposure to data management technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Airflow, preferred
- Experience working within Agile or Scrum frameworks, managing backlogs in Jira, and participating in sprint ceremonies, preferred
- Passion for general entertainment and sports content, preferred
