About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead delivery of the Skills Training and Employment Pathways (STEP) program for Government-Assisted Refugees in Hamilton and Brantford
  • Supervise teams and support front-line staff by assigning work and ensuring effective program operations
  • Implement day-to-day operational plans in coordination with the Manager, Employment Ontario
  • Resolve program issues, including disciplinary and dispute-resolution processes
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, privacy requirements, funder requirements, and organizational policies
  • Coach and support staff to develop skills, apply best practices, and improve service delivery
  • Execute procedures to manage and mitigate program and organizational risks
  • Collaborate with community partners and other RAP agencies to ensure operational consistency
  • Monitor approved budgets, spending controls, purchases, and financial goals
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports
  • Train, coach, mentor, hire, and conduct performance reviews for supervisors and front-line staff
  • Ensure mandatory training and effective health and safety procedures are maintained
  • Advise the Program Director on best practices, quality, effectiveness, and daily operations
  • Make procedural and operational recommendations across program, HR, health and safety, privacy, and IT areas
  • Provide program information and success stories to the Resource Development Department
