About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build trusted employer relationships across Jobs Guarantee delivery areas
- Understand employers’ businesses, workforce challenges, recruitment needs and future opportunities
- Explain Jobs Guarantee and its opportunities to employers
- Represent the wider Wise Group and connect employer relationships to wider employment, skills, progression or community opportunities
- Create and maintain a pipeline of suitable Jobs Guarantee opportunities
- Use labour-market intelligence, employer networks and proactive engagement to identify opportunities
- Work with Operations Manager and Team Leads to align employer activity with participant volumes and readiness
- Work with Mentors and participants to create suitable employment matches
- Support employers and sustainment after participants start work
- Help resolve emerging workplace challenges through support, mediation and problem-solving
- Support progression into continued unsubsidised employment, education or training
- Develop knowledge of local labour markets and share intelligence with colleagues
- Maintain accurate information about employer relationships, vacancies, matches, starts and future opportunities
- Measure opportunity quality and outcomes after young people enter employment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong employer engagement, recruitment, business-development or account-management skills
- Ability to build genuine and credible relationships with employers
- Confidence having commercially credible conversations with businesses
- Understanding of recruitment and the factors that help employment succeed
- Ability to create opportunities rather than waiting for vacancies to appear
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Ability to balance employer requirements with participant strengths and needs
- Excellent organisation and pipeline-management skills
- Strong local knowledge or networks within one or more delivery areas particularly valuable
- Willingness to share contacts, relationships and intelligence
- Ability to see the wider strategic opportunity behind an individual vacancy
- Energy, persistence and curiosity
- Full driving licence and daily access to a car are essential
- 35 hours per week
