About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead people, performance, partnerships and participant outcomes for the Jobs Guarantee programme
- Lead, coach and develop Team Leads and colleagues
- Establish accountability for performance, quality and colleague experience
- Oversee the participant journey from first engagement through job matching, funded employment, sustainment and progression
- Monitor referrals, engagement, caseloads, job readiness, employment opportunities, matches, job starts, sustainment and progression
- Ensure personalised participant support and early intervention when engagement or employment is at risk
- Build relationships with DWP, Jobcentres, employers, delivery partners and wider stakeholders
- Maintain a pipeline of suitable employment opportunities with Employment Pathways colleagues
- Integrate Jobs Guarantee into the wider Wise Group presence across local communities
- Develop understanding of Glasgow City, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and Argyll & Bute
- Use operational and participant data to inform decisions and demonstrate impact
- Lead budget management, forecasting and resource planning
- Maintain oversight of safeguarding, governance, contractual compliance, quality, data and risk
- Drive continuous improvement using participant, colleague, employer and partner feedback
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong people leadership, coaching and performance-management skills
- Experience of leading through others and creating clear accountability
- Strong operational judgement and confidence taking ownership of complex, high-intensity delivery
- Experience of employment, employability, youth or another person-centred service would be valuable
- Ability to build credible relationships with commissioners, DWP, Jobcentres, employers and partners
- Strong financial and commercial awareness, including budget management and forecasting
- Confidence using data to identify issues, anticipate pressure and make decisions
- Ability to balance demanding performance expectations with high-quality relational delivery
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Ability to work alongside other operational leaders without creating competing ownership
- Strong understanding of place and curiosity about individual communities
- Ability to share relationships, intelligence and opportunity across programmes
- Ability to connect frontline insight, data and evidence to wider organisational decisions
