About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, coach and support colleagues to perform at their best
  • Set clear expectations and create a trusted, supported and accountable team environment
  • Use supervision, coaching, case reviews and performance conversations to develop colleagues
  • Maintain visibility of every stage of participant journeys, from referral through employment and progression
  • Ensure referrals are picked up quickly and participants receive appropriate support
  • Use data and case information to monitor caseloads, engagement, job matching, employment starts, sustainment and progression
  • Act early when performance drifts and turn performance information into practical action
  • Model relational mentoring and support reflective practice
  • Connect participant needs with employment opportunities through collaboration with Employment Pathways colleagues
  • Build constructive employer relationships where participants need additional support to sustain employment
  • Share local intelligence about barriers, opportunities and community needs with relevant colleagues
  • Maintain high standards of case management, safeguarding, evidence and participant experience
  • Work with Administration and Quality colleagues to address recording and evidence issues

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience of leading, supervising or coaching people
  • Strong people-development and performance-management skills
  • Experience within employment, employability, mentoring, youth work or another person-centred service
  • Ability to manage performance while retaining a strong focus on quality and relationships
  • Confidence using data and case information to make decisions
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation
  • Ability to handle complex situations calmly and make sound judgements
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Curiosity about the communities in which your team works
  • Ability to recognise useful frontline intelligence and ensure it reaches the right people
  • Collaborative approach that puts the Wise Group ahead of individual programme boundaries
  • Resilience and a genuine belief in people's potential
