About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage assigned Chain Retailers, Non-Exclusive Direct Store Delivery (DSD), Grocery Wholesalers, and Broadliner Partners
  • Serve as the main contact for assigned Independent large and small format Chain customers
  • Conduct regular field visits to customer accounts
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Drive SKU expansion and incremental distribution within existing accounts
  • Develop and deliver fact-based selling presentations using business, category, and market insights
  • Lead and participate in customer and sales meetings
  • Communicate brand priorities, performance, and category/market insights to internal and external customers
  • Drive merchandising, assortment, pricing, and shelving execution
  • Sell in incremental displays, equipment, and promotional programs
  • Evaluate and negotiate CMAs in alignment with business objectives and trade investment strategies
  • Analyze and communicate data and insights from Power BI, VIP, IDIG, IRI, and other syndicated sources
  • Transport, install, replace, and maintain point-of-sale materials and advertising
  • Collaborate with Retail Trade Execution, Marketing, Operations, and other internal teams
  • Report to the Sales Director – East Division

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of food and/or beverage sales experience
  • Experience with distributor management and key account management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Experience leveraging syndicated data and analytics
  • Experience with IRI, Nielsen, Mintel, or similar platforms preferred
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Experience with sales planning and business management
  • Experience evaluating post-event performance and applying learnings to future customer programming
  • Organizational and project management skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Customer-service mindset
  • Market and category knowledge
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Collaborative, flexible, and team-oriented approach
