About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the medical information operations team
- Oversee development and dissemination of accurate medical and drug information
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Support communication with healthcare professionals and stakeholders
- Execute deliverables involving scope of work, contracts, staffing, budgets, and client contact
- Troubleshoot database, phone routing, vendor, and client-related issues
- Coordinate and implement new project operations and monitor QA, compliance, SOP, and regulatory processes
- Manage staff performance, salaries, hiring, employee relations, engagement, conflict resolution, and development
- Liaise with cross-functional leaders to drive deliverables
- Develop and maintain project SOPs and review corporate SOPs
- Manage billable hours and project profitability
- Ensure client budgetary goals and invoice accuracy and timeliness
- Participate in capabilities presentations, business development, proposals, contracts, and renewals
- Develop division-wide processes and strategies
- Drive immediate action and proactive escalation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience in health care or pharmaceutical industry comparable to 10+ years
- Proven leadership skills including 5+ years of management responsibility
- Education may be substituted for some years of experience for advanced degrees such as Pharm.D, Ph.D., MS and MD
- Combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience may be considered equivalent
- Strong knowledge of budgeting and forecasting
- Excellent leadership, attention to detail, organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, time management, and decision-making skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and multitasking skills
- Ability to coach and mentor staff
- Ability to work in a team environment and/or independently
- Ability to access and use computer software
- Ability to perform under stress and multitask
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing 15–20 lbs.
