About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive adoption of diagnostic testing by communicating clinical and economic value to targeted physicians and healthcare markets
  • Execute territory strategy to achieve and exceed sales goals and expand market share
  • Educate and train medical office staff on test ordering procedures and result interpretation
  • Customize innovative, scalable and reproducible solutions to meet account needs
  • Partner with laboratory teams to identify high-value targets and secure meetings for product presentations
  • Own territory performance, including account planning, pipeline management, forecasting and results tracking
  • Collaborate with Business Development Executives to support large health system implementations and strategic initiatives
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans
  • Manage key account relationships and ensure customer satisfaction through consultative selling
  • Work with cross-functional teams to provide tailored solutions and achieve sales targets
  • Serve customers through a combination of customer visits and virtual engagement as a trusted scientific advisor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Preferred fields of study: Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Marketing, Business or related scientific field
  • 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in laboratory sales, scientific, or healthcare industries, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Demonstrated success in medical sales, B2B technical sales, or military service
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships at all levels
  • Technical knowledge and ability to understand customer applications and workflows
  • Analytical and strategic planning capabilities
  • Results-oriented with demonstrated success in achieving sales targets
  • Highly coachable with willingness to learn and adapt quickly
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Proficiency in virtual collaboration tools such as MS Teams and Webex
  • Must reside within the assigned territory or a reasonable commuting distance to a major metro area
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to travel 50–75% of the time within the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check, including drug screening
  • Experience using Salesforce.com or similar CRM platforms is preferred
