About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead deployment and adoption of a scalable Commercial Excellence Standard Work operating model for Genetic Sciences Division across North America
- Drive sales force effectiveness, CRM and digital tool training and adoption, revenue predictability, and execution discipline
- Partner with GSD Commercial Leadership to translate growth priorities into data-driven sales strategies
- Support sales process updates, core product growth, funnel and forecast performance, sales skills optimization, territory planning, and go-to-market investment prioritization
- Drive the Sales Force Effectiveness strategy and sales force efficiencies across North America GSD
- Align cross-functionally with Centers of Excellence in SFD/SFE, Analytics, Platforms, and Pricing
- Deliver advanced analytics, performance insights, and AI-enabled digital tools and training
- Lead continuous improvement through Standard Work, sales skills training, KPI governance, and Kaizen methodologies
- Embed a high-performance culture across the commercial organization
- Support North America GSD AOP, weekly, MBR, and QBR requirements
- Influence GSD adoption and performance globally
- Collaborate with GSD Sales Operations, the Sales Force Effectiveness and Training Center of Excellence, and Global Commercial Processes and Operations functions
- Travel 10–25% domestically and internationally as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required (Business or related preferred); MBA preferred
- Salesforce CRM trainer/facilitator certification preferred
- 10+ years commercial / commercial operations experience
- 5+ years in leadership roles driving commercial performance and commercial operations teams
- Commercial operations and sales leadership experience in life and genetic sciences
- Experience driving consumables growth, instrumentation sales, and large strategic deals
- Proven success in continuous improvement (e.g., PPI, Kaizen), sales processes, digital/AI systems and tools, analytics, and team development
- Strong Salesforce.com expertise and sales process management, including AI, funnels, and dashboards
- Advanced analytics skills using SFDC, AI tools, Excel, Power BI, and data visualization
- Deep knowledge of Sales Force Effectiveness methodologies and commercial analytics
- Ability to lead cross-functionally and influence in complex, matrixed organizations
- Strong communication with senior leaders
- Proven stakeholder influence and management and ability to drive alignment across all levels
- Track record of driving transformation and continuous improvement in a dynamic commercial environment
- Ability to lead through ambiguity with resilience and a growth mindset
- Experience in coaching, talent development, and building organizational capability
- Strong alignment with company values on Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement and high ethical standards
- Commercial and customer mindset, ability to turn strategy to action, and strong analytical/system capabilities
- Excellent program management skills with ability to lead multiple initiatives
- Willingness to travel 10–25% domestically and internationally
- Ability to work at a PC and participate in virtual MS Teams calls for extended periods
