About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Install, integrate, validate, service, repair, maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot, and support Binding Site product systems and associated software
- Provide timely technical support to customers and colleagues, including remote access support
- Diagnose faults and restore full system functionality
- Participate in technical discussions covering hardware and software
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance visits
- Complete accurate service reports in Service CRM
- Maintain accurate spare-parts records and support stock checks and reconciliation
- Update customer-laboratory instruments with software and data-management upgrades
- Provide reliability and quality feedback to global product teams
- Provide installation and maintenance training to end users
- Conduct preliminary laboratory visits to confirm instrument positioning, installation sites, and required hydraulic, electrical, or logistical work
- Support LIS interfacing with company management tools
- Support and sponsor middleware products using networking and client/server expertise
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or a related field or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in a scientific or engineering field, such as clinical/research laboratories, electronics, biotechnology, or medical devices
- Proven IT skills for laboratory middleware management
- Strong technical competence and problem-solving abilities
- Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English and Italian, both written and verbal
- Availability to travel at short notice and occasionally work weekends or unsociable hours
- 75–85% of working time in the field
- Full driving license
