About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Safely manufacture high-quality pharmaceutical products according to established schedules
- Process and manufacture products in accordance with written processing orders
- Prepare manufacturing areas and equipment for pharmaceutical production
- Clean processing equipment and rooms according to written SOPs and GMPs
- Provide assistance and training to Formulation Technician I
- Troubleshoot trained equipment effectively
- Provide feedback and process improvement suggestions
- Ensure product quality meets Thermo Fisher Scientific, client, and regulatory standards
- Follow EH&S and GMP requirements
- Maintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards
- Perform alternating or rotating shift work
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of previous related experience in either powder blending/granulation, tablet compression and/or coating, with exposure in dispensing, liquids/semisolids and tablet printing manufacturing
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered
- Ability to maintain records of activities as instructed
- Ability to follow instruction with attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Works well with limited supervision in a team environment
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
- Excellent understanding of Standard Operating Procedures
- Excellent understanding of safety standards
- Mechanical interest/aptitude
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office software applications
- Proficiency with the English language
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to manipulate, lift, carry, and move weights of up to 40 pounds
- Arm, hand and finger dexterity
- Visual acuity to operate equipment and read materials for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time
- Willingness to work in environments with dust, loud noise, bright lights, fumes, or odors
- Ability to use required personal protective equipment
