About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary contact between the sponsor and the organization at the project level
- Ensure internal and external escalation pathways are followed
- Define responsibilities and communication pathways for secondary project leads when required
- Own overall cross-functional project delivery across time, cost, and quality
- Manage project-level financial stewardship, including contracts, budgets, out-of-scope activity, Con Mod negotiations, and timelines
- Establish, communicate, and manage customer expectations
- Lead risk identification and issue resolution
- Lead cross-functional project teams to meet or exceed deliverables
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
- 8+ years of comparable experience
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience as a Global Lead Project Manager conducting clinical trials end-to-end
- Several years of demonstrated experience in vendor management and oversight across a broad range of vendor types
- Experience in at least two therapeutic areas preferred
- Technical and systems competency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to delegate and prioritize project team workloads in a changing environment
- Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Advanced therapeutic area knowledge and clinical development guidelines and directives
- Strong understanding of project management principles, including financial acumen
- Interpersonal and customer service skills to lead, motivate and coordinate cross-functional project teams
- Judgment, decision-making, critical and analytical strategic thinking skills
- Ability to negotiate, persuade and influence others, including cross-cultural awareness
- Compliance with organization policies, SOPs, ICH-GCP, regulatory and project-specific requirements
