About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the clinic operations team
Oversee day-to-day clinic activities and ensure high standards of patient care
Optimize processes and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
Plan and coordinate general departmental activities
Work with Team Leaders on clinical team activities
Analyze and evaluate departmental efforts, including clinic adequacy and quality
Liaise with the medical director during feasibility processes to ensure volunteer safety requirements are addressed in scheduling
Manage internal and external communication and evaluate bed-space information to increase study-award probability and meet client deliverables
Oversee staff training and development and direct workflow for complex processes
Work with management to provide clinical team training and study-placement awareness
Manage staff, including interviewing, selection, job description preparation, professional development, goal setting, performance management, coaching, mentoring, counseling, and separations
Approve salary administration, hiring, corrective action, and termination decisions
Review and approve time records, expense reports, leave requests, and overtime

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
5+ years of previous experience providing relevant knowledge, skills, and abilities
Ideally 1+ year of leadership responsibility
Experience working as a Clinical Research Associate required
Expert knowledge of relevant regulations, including ICH/GCP and FDA guidelines
Strong organizational skills
Performance management abilities
Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability
Time management skills
Attention to detail
Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Ability to motivate and integrate teams and teach/mentor team members
Ability to work remotely anywhere in Belgium and attend one office day on Tuesday
Equivalency through a combination of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience may be considered
