About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, assist with, and develop high-quality, customer-focused proposals
  • Evaluate RFPs and participate in strategy calls to determine bid strategy
  • Liaise with business development, contracts and proposals, and operations teams
  • Consult internal subject matter experts to determine labor requirements and develop processes for non-standard activities
  • Confirm client-specific bidding standards and verify assumptions not identified in RFPs
  • Modify proposal text to reflect study requirements and opportunity-specific assumptions
  • Ensure proposal text aligns with budget
  • Review client grids for accuracy of mapping and unit definitions
  • Prepare proposals and revisions for basic to moderately complex opportunities
  • Interact with clients to help determine requirements and service levels
  • Attend bid reviews to present and defend budgets to senior management
  • Update and maintain corporate databases and tracking reports
  • Ensure bid grids are up to date in the bid system
  • Maintain strategy documents to support customer-focused proposals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
  • Previous experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job, comparable to 2+ years’, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to provide recommendations on proposal and budgeting parameters
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
  • Knowledge of clinical trial proposal process and budget management
  • Knowledge of Clinical Trial Supply Chain Management
  • Knowledge of drug development process, FDA guidelines, and GCPs
  • Proficiency in mathematics and ability to work with budgets
  • Understanding of unitized grids, unit cost, and unit drivers
  • Knowledge of functional area project life cycle
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Problem solving skills
  • Proven flexibility and adaptability
  • Excellent command of English language and grammar
  • Ability to use and learn standard office equipment and technology
  • Ability to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities
