About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute to the proposal development process from receipt through client decision
  • Recommend and implement operational strategy for proposals
  • Manage proposal-related deliverables and the overall proposal process
  • Support RFPs, supplemental documents, and simple to moderate RFIs for clinical development protocols or programs
  • Identify operational proposal strategic plans aligned with commercial win strategy
  • Determine proposal deliverables and key operations messages
  • Manage clinical operations triage to meet proposal deliverables
  • Ensure budgets reflect operational strategy and oversee profitability targets
  • Partner with Clinical Operations, Commercial, and GPD to improve proposal efficiency and decrease COS
  • Drive development of the operations segment of proposal deliverables within timelines
  • Communicate operational strategy to proposal teams and develop KPIs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
  • Manage operations escalations and advise the commercial strategy team
  • Assess cross-functional satisfaction and recommend future strategy and actions
  • Recommend and implement post-award Clinical Operations revisions for successful proposal execution

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
  • 12+ years of previous experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Global clinical trial project management experience
  • Experience with proposals and bid defenses preferred/ideal
  • Leadership-level strategy execution and critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge of clinical project management, business organization, and functional areas
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Customer relationship management skills and strong commercial awareness
  • Multitasking, organization, attention to detail, prioritization, and time management
  • Proposal development, project management, and planning proficiency
  • Experience leading, liaising, and coordinating with cross-functional teams
  • Negotiation skills and techniques
  • Coaching and mentoring skills
  • Analytical, oral, and written communication skills
  • Understanding of sponsor/CRO business practices
