About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide end-to-end project management leadership from concept to completion for the ASD Strategic Commercial Operations team
Lead Commercial projects with diverse internal teams to meet business objectives and metrics
Partner with Project Sponsors to execute critical Commercial initiatives spanning the Analytical Services Division and business units
Set up and govern overall project schedules
Communicate decision needs and facilitate individual and team decisions
Control project budgets and ensure delivery within scope and budget
Develop project scopes, objectives, detailed plans, and resource allocations
Identify key issues and risks and recommend fact-based options
Drive execution of timelines and organizational change to deliver timely results
Lead project execution and deploy Project Management standards
Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
Build and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Prepare reports for leadership and report project status to Sponsors and team members
Influence project team members and Project Sponsors
Challenge current thought processes and business processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 5 years of project management experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and an advanced degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred fields of study: Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related field
PMP certification or equivalent preferred; Six Sigma/Lean certification a plus
Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies, tools and best practices
Ability to present to varied audiences including senior leadership and work efficiently in a matrix environment
Ability to lead 2+ projects and partner with team members across different departments and domestic time zones
Solid understanding of formal project management methodologies
Strong familiarity with project management practices and methodologies including PMI Body of Knowledge
Effective oral and written communication and executive presentation skills
Process-oriented and structured working style; able to balance multiple projects simultaneously
Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and organizational influence skills
Strong attention to detail and time management
