About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the single point of contact for customer and internal partner questions and requests supporting order processing
  • Manage complex customer orders and update CRM records, reservations, delivery dates, and component part numbers
  • Support new customer setup with customers and Account Managers
  • Review purchase orders against Thermo Fisher proposals and initiate corrective actions
  • Ensure order information is accurate and factory order desks are informed in time to meet shipping dates
  • Manage internal and external customer inquiries and drive operational issues to resolution
  • Maintain order data, customer records, and archives in CRM, QAD, and Cora Sequence
  • Monitor order progression and invoicing milestones to support accurate revenue recognition
  • Coordinate Non Standard Requests, External Technologies requests, configuration issues, billing discrepancies, and customer credit issues
  • Process invoicing, credit/rebill requests, manual invoices, intercompany transactions, and portal requirements
  • Participate in projects and provide backup for Sales Operations team members
  • Ensure SOX, Legal, ISO, trade, governmental, and corporate compliance
  • Communicate shipping dates and coordinate customer deliveries
  • Manage shipping documentation, commercial invoices, letters of credit, insurance documentation, and import requirements
  • Coordinate factory export teams, carriers, backorders, returns, customs requirements, and damage claim resolution
  • Resolve customs import delays and issues to ensure timely shipment delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 plus years of experience in Commercial Operations, Order Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related business operations
  • Expertise with both international and domestic shipments and orders for US, Canada and LATAM
  • Professional proficiency in English required
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Advanced knowledge of international shipping requirements, Incoterms, customs documentation, and trade compliance regulations
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and data analysis tools
  • Strong knowledge of CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, QAD) and ERP platforms highly desirable
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
