About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and develop sophisticated software solutions supporting global science and healthcare
Architect, implement, and optimize solutions across AWS, Azure, ServiceNow, and enterprise systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
Drive technical innovation and establish software development best practices
Support the growth and development of other developers
Own the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering and solution design through deployment and continuous improvement
Develop cloud applications, build and monitor data pipelines, and build AI-powered features
Monitor AWS costs to ensure efficient resource utilization
Manage logging systems to maintain operational excellence

Requirements

What you’ll need

Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in software development and architecture
Preferred fields of study: Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related technical field
Relevant technical certifications are a plus (e.g., AWS, Azure, ServiceNow)
Strong expertise in one or more of Java, Python, JavaScript
Advanced knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platforms and cloud-native development
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling
Experience with Amazon Redshift and data warehousing solutions
Experience building and monitoring data pipelines
Proficiency in REST, SOAP, and microservices API development and integration
Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control
Experience with Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment
Experience with logging systems and log management
Expertise in agile development methodologies
Experience with enterprise systems integration
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Experience guiding and supporting other developers
Experience with AI/ML technologies and frameworks preferred
Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements
Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team
Occasional travel may be required, up to 10%
