About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Shape and execute people strategies supporting business priorities and long-term growth
  • Advise and coach leaders on complex organizational, talent, performance and employee matters
  • Lead organizational transformation, including change management, organizational design and capability-building initiatives
  • Build leadership pipelines through talent planning, development, succession and retention strategies
  • Use workforce data and insights to identify trends and opportunities that strengthen business performance
  • Navigate a global matrixed environment across functions, geographies and leadership levels
  • Champion an inclusive, high-performance culture grounded in Thermo Fisher Scientific’s 4i Values
  • Connect talent acquisition, total rewards, organizational development, employee relations and other HR centers of expertise to deliver integrated solutions
  • Provide comprehensive HR leadership to the Global MSD Commercial team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 8 years of progressive HR experience in global, matrix organizations
  • Advanced degree preferred but not required
  • Preferred fields of study: Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field
  • PHR/SPHR certification desirable
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate strategy into actionable HR solutions
  • Experience leading organizational change and development initiatives
  • Expertise in talent management, performance management, compensation and employee relations
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to derive insights from HR data
  • Excellent consulting, influencing and relationship building capabilities at all levels
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple complex initiatives
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
  • Experience advising and developing leaders
  • Ability to make decisions with limited information and adapt to change
  • Experience partnering with works councils/unions where applicable is preferred
  • Fluency in English required; additional language skills valued for international roles
  • Ability to travel 10-25% as needed
  • Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
