About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner directly with research and clinical customers to expand the High-Plex Sequencing footprint
  • Drive market adoption of NGS library prep solutions
  • Identify emerging trends, customer needs, and workflow gaps to influence commercial approach
  • Translate complex chemistry, assays, and sequencing workflows into consultative solutions
  • Guide laboratories through library preparation optimization
  • Present at industry conferences
  • Build relationships with key opinion leaders, sequencing core facilities, and commercial accounts
  • Manage complex, consultative sales cycles from initial engagement through technical demonstration and final implementation
  • Collaborate with field application scientists, product management, and regional sales teams in a matrixed environment
  • Ensure seamless customer onboarding, robust pipeline execution, and sustained revenue growth
  • Travel within the assigned territory to meet customers in their labs, present at conferences, and host targeted workflow sessions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS degree required; preferred field of study in the Life Sciences
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Genetics, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of successful technical sales or field application experience in life science research instruments and reagents
  • 8 plus years of technical sales experience in life sciences is strongly preferred
  • Thorough, hands-on understanding of next-generation sequencing chemistry, high-plex target enrichment, sample prep, and end-to-end library preparation workflows
  • Knowledge of NGS players, platforms, and commercial landscape
  • Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and lead technical discussions with principal investigators and lab directors
  • Track record of territory planning, market analysis, and cross-functional leadership
  • Organizational skill to manage high-touch customer relationships alongside internal strategic initiatives
  • Comfortable traveling 50 to 75 percent within the assigned territory
  • Bilingual communication skills are a welcome advantage
