About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure compliance with departmental SOPs and procedures for statistical analyses and programming work
- Lead statistical tasks and responsibilities across complex projects and provide senior project review
- Lead team members and interact with sponsors and regulatory agencies
- Review sample size calculations, protocols, clinical designs, statistical analyses, and randomization documentation
- Write and review analysis plans and guide their implementation
- Define statistical analysis methods and review key efficacy endpoint analyses
- Review analysis database specifications and oversee database development, maintenance, updating, and documentation
- Supervise creation of table and listing specifications
- Prepare reports, manuscripts, and statistical methods sections for integrated clinical and statistical reports and summaries
- Monitor project budgets and communicate scope or budget changes with management and sponsors
- Mentor department members and provide statistical advice, performance planning, and resource planning
- Provide input on hiring, department policies, and resourcing requirements
- Represent the department to other divisions and assist with bidding and business development activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Senior-level experience leading statistical analyses and programming work across complex projects
- Experience with sample size calculations, clinical study design, protocols, randomization documentation, and analysis plans
- Knowledge of statistical methods and procedures for clinical trial efficacy and safety analyses
- Experience reviewing analysis database specifications and overseeing database development and maintenance
- Experience preparing reports, manuscripts, statistical methods sections, and integrated clinical/statistical summaries
- Experience monitoring project budgets and work scope
- Experience mentoring statisticians and contributing to employee development and resource planning
- Experience contributing to hiring recommendations, department policies, resourcing, bidding, and business development activities
