About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct business and requirements sessions with client stakeholders
  • Formulate requirement definition documents for sign-off to support finalizing the technical solution and test planning
  • Acquire ONESOURCE Global Trade Management product knowledge and learn related business operations and systems
  • Consult with internal and external customers and provide recommendations to the project implementation team
  • Translate clients' business processes and policies into solutions
  • Engage with Product Management, Engineering, and other key Thomson Reuters teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Prepare and support execution of test scripts and test cases
  • Train end users and customer development staff on product functionality aligned with business processes
  • Complete tasks independently

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A bachelor's degree, with a strong preference for degrees in engineering or business
  • Native Japanese and good English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people in different roles across an organization
  • 7–10 years of experience in supply chain, trade compliance, global trade, customs, or tariffs
  • Certifications from relevant professional institutions would be an added advantage
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment, while also being able to work independently as needed
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and strong commercial sense/business acumen
  • Knowledge of supply chain products
  • Experience working with a customs provider or a professional services firm operating in the supply chain space
