About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and oversee all financial operations of the assigned business unit
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, and budgets
- Provide strategic financial guidance and recommendations to business unit leadership
- Lead cross-departmental collaboration to align financial strategies with business objectives
- Develop and implement internal controls and financial processes
- Conduct variance analysis and profitability assessments
- Present complex financial information to diverse audiences
- Oversee tax planning and compliance activities
- Apply managerial accounting principles to decision-making and performance measurement
- Apply broader financial perspectives and global thinking
- Ensure effective information management within the finance function
- Use Methodware ProAudit Advisor to support financial accuracy and compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Proven experience in a financial control or managerial accounting role, preferably in a large corporate environment
- Proficiency in Acorn Systems Corporate Perform, CCH ProSystem fx and Intuit QuickBooks
- Expertise in accounting principles and practices
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Sage Platinum for Windows (PFW) is a plus
- Experience with Methodware ProAudit Advisor is a plus
- Experience with Brentmark Estate Planning Quick is beneficial
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong business writing and professional presentation skills
- Ability to explain complex financial information clearly
- Ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate across departments
- Customer-focused approach and commitment to high-quality financial services
- Understanding of global thinking in a financial context
- Commitment to information management best practices
