About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in an Editorial or Content Operations team
  • Assist in creating and/or acquiring, preparing, and delivering assigned content and information
  • Support creation of products and product functionality across print and electronic publication media
  • Analyze, key, convert, code, copyread, edit, merge, render, load, and validate data
  • Support team publishing goals by meeting deadlines
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of work products through quality control
  • Attend and participate in team meetings
  • Prioritize own work and participate in performance management processes, including peer reviews and self-evaluation
  • Acquire and analyze manuscripts or core content and electronic files
  • Code data and resolve coding errors
  • Edit manuscripts, compile and edit content, proofread, copyread, and perform verification

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong English language skills, including college level vocabulary, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and sentence structure
  • Strong communication skills with internal and/or external contacts
  • Skilled in using personal computers and multiple software packages, including word processing and file management applications
  • Ability to prioritize and stay focused while dealing with multiple assignments
  • Detail-oriented with aptitude for analysis and problem solving
  • Ability to successfully work in a team environment
  • Must be a Bachelor's degree holder
  • Must be willing to work on any shift and shifting schedule
  • Previous publishing experience is a plus
