About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and lead the Facilities & Real Estate, Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), and Physical Security functions for a newly formed standalone joint venture
  • Set the strategic direction for physical infrastructure, EH&S posture, and the global physical security program
  • Oversee a 1.3M sq ft flagship facility in Minnesota and a secondary production facility in Buenos Aires
  • Oversee HVAC, electrical, fire protection, and building automation systems across facilities
  • Govern facility master plans, preventive/predictive maintenance, and business-continuity planning
  • Establish and oversee lease administration and portfolio management
  • Partner with brokers on new real-estate transactions and manage external stakeholder relationships
  • Own executive-level accountability for OSHA, EPA, and MPCA compliance
  • Lead LOTO, HazCom, confined-space, and print-manufacturing environmental-control programs
  • Build and execute global security strategy covering access control, CCTV, guard force management, and threat/vulnerability assessments
  • Establish duty-of-care programs including travel security and 24/7 crisis communication
  • Lead multi-year capital plans and complex projects from concept through commissioning
  • Apply Lean methodologies to improve uptime and efficiency
  • Govern global vendor frameworks across facilities, environmental, and security providers
  • Cultivate relationships with regulators, insurers, and industry associations
  • Coach and develop multidisciplinary teams across multiple shifts
  • Build organizational depth through succession planning and talent development
  • Own operating and capital budgets across Facilities, Maintenance, and EH&S
  • Report performance to the VP of Operations and executive leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in facilities, EH&S, and/or physical security within large-scale manufacturing
  • 8+ years in senior leadership with multi-disciplinary teams, capital budgets exceeding $1M, and multi-site/global scope
  • Proven leadership in 24/5 or 24/7 environments with 500+ employees in a 500,000+ sq ft facility
  • Track record managing complex capital projects from concept through commissioning
  • Measurable EH&S performance improvement, including OSHA recordable/DART rate reduction
  • Demonstrated duty-of-care experience for international or remote/hybrid employees
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field
  • Deep familiarity with OSHA 29 CFR 1910, EPA/RCRA/Clean Air & Water Acts, MPCA requirements, and NFPA standards
  • Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, and fire/life-safety
  • Experience with EHS platforms such as Intelex, Cority, or Velocity EHS
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 10%
  • MBA or M.S. degree preferred
  • Experience designing physical security programs across international jurisdictions, ideally including Latin America, preferred
  • Print, binding, fulfillment, or converting operations experience preferred
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, CFM, FMP, CPP, PSP, PMP, CEM, or Six Sigma Black Belt held or actively pursued, preferred
  • ISO or other program implementations and management experience preferred
  • Enterprise security platforms and AI-enabled analytics experience preferred
  • Corporate global security, threat intelligence, or crisis management background preferred
  • Energy management programs with measurable kWh/water/waste reductions preferred
  • Real-time monitoring dashboards for facilities performance and compliance reporting preferred
