About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Source, identify, and evaluate strategic partnership opportunities aligned with Thomson Reuters' growth strategy
- Assess partner capabilities, market reach, revenue potential, competitive overlap, and strategic fit
- Build and maintain executive relationships with current and prospective partners
- Negotiate and manage commercial agreements covering capabilities, product roadmap integration, sales targets, and performance metrics
- Create Partner Business Plans defining joint go-to-market priorities and resource commitments
- Define partner commercial models, including revenue share, licensing, and implementation fees
- Design and execute joint go-to-market strategies, demand generation campaigns, vertical plays, and account-based engagement
- Drive partner-sourced pipeline creation and revenue targets
- Build initial traction and proof points with early customers and create case studies and customer success stories
- Track partnership performance, conduct quarterly business reviews, and drive corrective action plans
- Monitor revenue, pipeline, customer success, and adoption metrics; report progress to leadership
- Lead partner progression through the lifecycle, determining which partnerships are scaled, held, or exited
- Work with Product to ensure partner offerings are technically scoped and architecturally sound
- Coordinate with sales leadership on theater coverage, resource allocation, channel conflict prevention, and customer engagement
- Forecast revenue and report partner-sourced pipeline; provide updates to leadership and Finance
- Ensure accurate deal attribution and manage revenue recognition and royalty calculations
- Drive ROI analysis and business cases for co-development, co-marketing, and incentive investments
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of experience in partnerships, alliances, or business development, ideally with technology, consulting, or professional services partners
- Demonstrated experience negotiating and managing complex commercial agreements, such as strategic collaboration, co-development, or reseller agreements, with enterprise partners
- Proven track record building partner-sourced pipeline and executing co-sell motions with direct sales teams
- Strong executive presence and experience building and maintaining C-level relationships at partner organizations
- Experience with revenue forecasting, pipeline reporting, and financial accountability for partner- or channel-sourced business
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and negotiation skills
- Ability to align Product, Sales, Finance, and Solutions Architecture stakeholders around shared goals
- Experience in legal, tax, audit, or professional services technology markets
- Familiarity with cloud and AI ecosystem partner programs, including AWS, Google Cloud, or Anthropic
- Experience designing or operating partner tiering and governance frameworks
- MBA or equivalent experience in strategy, business development, or management consulting (preferred)
