About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Research markets to understand emerging trends, business challenges, customer priorities, and growth opportunities
- Develop commercially compelling conference concepts, agendas, content, and positioning
- Identify growing markets and commercial opportunities with strong audience and revenue potential
- Curate relevant, business-critical content for senior-level executives
- Build relationships with key decision-makers, industry leaders, and influential figures
- Identify, approach, and secure senior-level industry speakers
- Create conferences addressing important industry opportunities and challenges
- Collaborate with colleagues across Reuters Events
- Own an event portfolio and work toward defined commercial objectives
- Maintain high standards of event product quality
Requirements
What you’ll need- A university degree in any discipline
- Previous experience in events, market research, content development, commercial analysis, or a related area
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Ability to understand markets, industries, and complex business issues
- Commercial mindset and interest in factors influencing customer decisions
- Ability to identify emerging business trends and translate them into compelling event propositions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present and pitch ideas effectively in person, by email, and over the phone
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Confidence engaging with colleagues, clients, senior executives, speakers, and other key stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial mindset, initiative, and creativity
- Ability to take ownership of projects and work toward defined targets
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and high-growth environment
- Preferred: experience researching industries, markets, customers, or emerging business trends
- Preferred: experience developing conference agendas, business content, event propositions, or other market-led products
