About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop, and maintain external and internal RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend platforms using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and cloud-native patterns
- Build scalable, secure, and highly available services for customer-facing products, third-party integrations, and enterprise workflows
- Lead microservice architecture design and implementation, including service decomposition, API contracts, event-driven patterns, observability, resiliency, and performance optimization
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions using containerization, orchestration, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and continuous delivery
- Develop modern web applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and contemporary front-end practices
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, UX designers, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Drive software design principles, code quality, test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery practices
- Own technical design decisions, architecture reviews, code reviews, and engineer mentoring
- Define and implement testing strategies covering unit, integration, API testing, automation frameworks, and quality gates
- Address security through secure coding, vulnerability remediation, penetration test findings, and regulatory compliance
- Use AI-assisted development tools including GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude
- Monitor emerging technologies and modern software engineering practices and bring innovative ideas to the organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of professional software development experience
- Significant hands-on expertise in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, API development, and distributed systems
- Experience designing, developing, and supporting external and internal REST APIs
- Strong experience building and operating microservices-based architectures
- Hands-on experience in public cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Strong proficiency with Angular, TypeScript, component-based architecture, state management, routing, and API integration
- Experience with containerization and deployment technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or AKS
- Understanding of observability, logging, monitoring, distributed tracing, fault tolerance, and operational excellence
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
- Experience with relational databases, SQL, Entity Framework, data access patterns, and API-centric application design
- Experience using Git and GitHub
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience with C++ development is preferred
- Experience building customer-facing platforms, SaaS applications, developer platforms, or public API ecosystems is preferred
- Experience with event-driven architectures, asynchronous messaging, and Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS/SNS, or similar frameworks is preferred
- Knowledge of API gateways, OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT, and API lifecycle management is preferred
