About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and empower a team of software engineers responsible for AI Platform services, tools, and infrastructure
Lead, coach, and develop software engineers, fostering technical excellence and career growth
Drive the design, development, and maintenance of back-end services and APIs using Python
Define and execute the technical roadmap for AI Platform services
Architect and oversee scalable solutions on AWS cloud infrastructure
Ensure deployment and operation of containerized applications using Kubernetes
Establish engineering best practices for software development, security, reliability, and operational excellence
Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and cross-functional stakeholders
Oversee software delivery processes, resource planning, and execution
Drive code quality through code reviews, technical guidance, and engineering governance
Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and AI capabilities to enhance the platform
Partner with Product, Architecture, and AI Platform teams to deliver scalable and secure AI solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices
Advanced English
Proven experience leading and managing software engineering teams
Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS, etc.)
Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-native application development
Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, performance, and reliability principles
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to lead teams in fast-paced environments
Experience with AI agents or frameworks such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude Code, or other AI-assisted development tools
Familiarity with AI/ML platforms and Generative AI technologies
Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems
Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments
Experience leading distributed or globally dispersed engineering teams
Previous experience managing teams responsible for platform engineering, developer experience, or AI infrastructure
