About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and empower a team of software engineers responsible for AI Platform services, tools, and infrastructure
- Lead, coach, and develop software engineers, fostering technical excellence and career growth
- Drive the design, development, and maintenance of back-end services and APIs using Python
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for AI Platform services
- Architect and oversee scalable solutions on AWS cloud infrastructure
- Ensure deployment and operation of containerized applications using Kubernetes
- Establish engineering best practices for software development, security, reliability, and operational excellence
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Oversee software delivery processes, resource planning, and execution
- Drive code quality through code reviews, technical guidance, and engineering governance
- Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and AI capabilities to enhance the platform
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices
- Advanced English proficiency
- Proven experience leading and managing software engineering teams
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-native application development
- Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, performance, and reliability principles
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to lead teams in fast-paced environments
- Experience with AI agents or frameworks such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude Code, or other AI-assisted development tools
- Familiarity with AI/ML platforms and Generative AI technologies
- Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments
- Experience leading distributed or globally dispersed engineering teams
- Previous experience managing teams responsible for platform engineering, developer experience, or AI infrastructure
