About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Sales Development Representative team
  • Establish accountability against monthly appointment targets and improve team performance
  • Monitor results and implement action plans for appointment generation, activity levels, conversion rates, and productivity
  • Conduct performance-management conversations, one-on-one meetings, coaching sessions, and appointment reviews
  • Create personalized sales plans, measurable goals, and accountability structures for team members
  • Provide weekly updates on performance, achievements, challenges, pipeline activity, and improvement initiatives
  • Optimize adoption and use of Connect and Sell, Outreach, Salesforce, and other sales technology
  • Review appointments and outreach activity for qualification standards, messaging quality, customer experience, and handoff alignment
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, and other internal teams on campaigns, messaging, and target-account strategies
  • Support resolution of customer escalations and complex situations
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, productive team culture through contests, recognition, activities, and engagement initiatives
  • Improve sales-development processes, coaching methodologies, reporting, technology usage, and team best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience leading, managing, and coaching a sales development, inside sales, business development, or similar sales team
  • Proven ability to motivate teams to achieve and exceed appointment, activity, pipeline-generation, or related sales targets
  • Strong people-leadership skills with an innovative, collaborative, and people-focused approach
  • Experience conducting performance-management conversations, delivering constructive feedback, and supporting employee development
  • Ability to create, implement, and maintain individualized sales plans and accountability structures
  • Strong understanding of prospecting, outbound outreach, appointment setting, qualification, and lead handoff
  • Experience reviewing customer interactions, appointments, calls, or outreach activity for quality and standards adherence
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience using CRM, sales-engagement, and sales-automation tools, such as Salesforce, Outreach, and Connect and Sell
  • Strong technology skills and ability to learn, adopt, optimize, and teach new tools and systems
  • Ability to collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Operations, and other internal business partners
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, solve problems independently, and work in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Preferred: experience managing an SDR or BDR team in a SaaS, technology, B2B, or high-growth sales organization
  • Preferred: experience with Salesforce, Outreach, Connect and Sell, or comparable platforms
  • Preferred: familiarity with appointment attainment, conversion rates, activity volume, pipeline contribution, and lead quality metrics
  • Preferred: experience partnering with Marketing on outbound campaigns, messaging, lead generation, and target-account strategies
  • Preferred: experience designing sales contests, recognition programs, team-engagement activities, or performance incentive initiatives
  • Preferred: experience supporting customer escalations or complex prospect situations
  • Preferred: experience improving SDR onboarding, coaching programs, call-review processes, or sales playbooks
  • Preferred: strong understanding of the company’s industry, market, customer challenges, and competitive landscape
