About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a team of Sales Specialist professionals within the Risk business of the Government Segment
  • Drive growth, revenue, and sales targets
  • Leverage sales enablement tools and sales processes to generate opportunities
  • Facilitate customer conversations that reinforce the value of current Thomson Reuters solutions and recommend additional resources
  • Lead the Sales Specialist team in driving new sales
  • Drive customer satisfaction and engagement improvements
  • Identify solutions to complex problems from a strategic perspective
  • Execute goals and initiatives that drive change, innovation, and accountability
  • Develop plans and set priorities aligned with leadership
  • Deliver financial and strategy objectives
  • Forecast accurately, evaluate customers, achieve sales targets, update Salesforce, and report on market and competitor activities
  • Partner with sales leadership on retention and sales objectives and talent development
  • Monitor performance through coaching, ride-alongs, call monitoring, personal interaction, and activity review
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Field Sales, Finance, Human Resources, and other sales support channels to maximize goal attainment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.S. in related area and/or like work experience desired
  • 5+ years management experience
  • 5+ years experience with successful sales in Business to Business marketplace
  • Deep understanding of customers and business and market dynamics
  • Ability to adjust business operations to meet objectives
  • Experience with coaching sales process, product training, and professional development
  • In-depth business and industry knowledge
  • Ability to engage, communicate, and create meaningful relationships with key stakeholder and C-Level audiences
  • Strong people leadership skills
  • Strong B2B business development skills, including sales/up-sell, retention, and solutions development
  • Effective coaching, leadership, and performance management around business plans, account plans, customer experience, product awareness and adoption, product positioning, sales presentations, negotiation, and business acumen
  • Strong understanding and experience with Solution Selling/Consultative Sales
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Salesforce, and Xactly
  • Experience in Law Enforcement and Risk/Fraud Solutions preferred
