About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Turn the marketing AI strategy into working production capability
  • Own the design, build, versioning, and governance of AI skills and agents powering end-to-end marketing workflows
  • Lead and grow a team of AI engineers while remaining hands-on in development
  • Convert the prioritized AI use-case portfolio into shipped, measurable capabilities against timelines and quality standards
  • Coordinate engineering and data science dependencies, defining interfaces, sequencing, and accountability
  • Deliver complete workflows from brief to channel-ready output across demand generation, content and creative, lifecycle, web and personalization, and audience and measurement
  • Embed with marketing teams to understand workflows and drive adoption
  • Build reusable legal, privacy, accessibility, and content-integrity compliance checks
  • Establish engineering governance, ownership, versioning, reviews, quality monitoring, cost control, and guardrails
  • Engineer for portability and avoid platform lock-in
  • Measure pipeline contribution, hours redeployed, time-to-insight, adoption, and quality
  • Partner with enterprise engineering, IT, and commercial and revenue operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Hands-on experience architecting and shipping production AI applications, including agentic workflows, skill and context engineering, orchestration, retrieval, and tool and API integration
  • Deep fluency in B2B marketing and the technology behind it, including demand generation, campaign and content operations, lifecycle, segmentation, web and personalization, and attribution
  • Strong technical foundation in data engineering, analytics engineering, business intelligence, or software engineering
  • Experience with data pipelines, modern data platforms and warehouses, scale, quality, and governance
  • Track record of building a capability or platform from scratch and scaling it to sustained usage
  • Experience leading engineers as a hands-on builder-leader
  • Proven ability to deliver through influence and partnership across teams not directly owned
  • Sound judgment on quality, risk, and governance in production AI
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Preferred: hands-on experience with the martech and marketing-data stack and B2B demand generation and lifecycle marketing
  • Preferred: familiarity with marketing automation, CRM, web and content platforms, BI, and data-transformation tooling
  • Preferred: data science experience such as propensity, attribution, or segmentation modeling
  • Preferred: experience in a regulated or high-accuracy industry
  • Preferred: record of shipping AI or automation capability adopted at scale
