About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and define the transactional use case roadmap for CoCounsel
- Translate insights from deal lawyers, practice group leaders, and firm innovation teams into a focused, deliverable plan
- Develop deep understanding of transactional teams’ time loss and risk across the deal lifecycle, from diligence through closing
- Manage and grow a team of two to three product managers
- Set priorities, review work, and develop strong product judgment across the team
- Identify product opportunities beyond obvious automation
- Develop meaningful use cases for deal teams
- Partner with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and go-to-market teams to move use cases from concept through launch
- Represent the transactional customer perspective in roadmap and prioritization decisions
- Report to the Co-Head of Product for CoCounsel Legal
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience as a deal lawyer at an AmLaw 100 firm
- Hands-on transactional experience in M&A, finance, capital markets, real estate, or similar
- Comfort working with generative AI and modern product tooling
- Ability to engage credibly with Engineering teams about what is realistic and feasible to build
- Coding experience is not required
- Strong creative instincts and customer empathy
- Experience leading or developing product management teams (preferred)
- Experience translating complex transactional workflows into product or technology solutions (preferred)
- Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and go-to-market teams (preferred)
