About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Discover, monitor, and interpret relevant global regulatory frameworks, including digital real-time controls, data privacy, data sovereignty, data retention, and indirect tax
Identify and engage external subject-matter experts to establish accurate interpretations of regulatory and technical requirements
Own or act as a stakeholder in obtaining and maintaining accreditations needed to offer company services in required jurisdictions
Support product strategy, design, business requirements, and feature/functionality trade-offs
Ensure cross-functional education on regulatory matters and developments
Partner with marketing on thought leadership and market positioning around compliance matters
Represent the company in relevant trade associations and international organizations, including taking official positions
Establish and maintain contacts with governmental agencies and inter-governmental bodies
Represent the company at physical and virtual public-speaking events
Support sales and professional services in customer engagement and retention activities
Drive additional ancillary revenue through departmental products and services
May assist with page layout, graphics and artwork selection, interactive/social media elements, and technical production of deliverables

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience in e-invoicing/CTC, tax technology and/or indirect tax
Applicants with legal or compliance experience in digital, privacy and/or security areas, and readiness to apply that knowledge to digital settings and learn new skills, will be considered
Relevant academic degree, e.g. Business, Law, Economics, or similar, with relevant work experience
Fluent in both spoken and written English
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and document information clearly
Proficient with MS Office
Comfortable with agentic AI and other planning and visualization tools
Strong technical skills and ability to utilize various tools, including generative AI technologies
Ability to adapt to diverse projects and tasks within the generative AI space and new and emerging technologies
