About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead technical discovery workshops covering customer requirements, workflows, integrations, security considerations, and business objectives
Design scalable cloud-based solutions aligned with customer needs and Reuters Imagen platform capabilities
Act as technical lead throughout the sales cycle by delivering demos, handling technical discussions, and building customer confidence
Partner with Commercial and Account teams on proposals, RFP responses, statements of work, solution designs, and effort estimates
Advise customers on deployment, hosting, integration, and configuration approaches
Champion sustainable, configuration-led solutions over custom development
Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies
Ensure smooth transition from sales through implementation and delivery
Serve as a trusted technical advisor for strategic accounts during complex implementations, feature adoption, and ongoing optimisation
Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to share customer insights and influence product direction
Contribute to presales tools, technical playbooks, and market expertise

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in requirements elicitation, solutions architecture, pre-sales engineering, or technical sales support for enterprise or SaaS software
Demonstrable track record closing or materially contributing to complex technical deals in the US and North American market
Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, hosting architectures, and storage solutions; AWS and Azure essential
Strong expertise in data modelling, cross-system data reconciliation, and integration design, including API patterns, data attribute mapping, and business process dependencies
Able to deliver product demonstrations and handle technical objections from developers to executives
Experience creating technical proposals, SOWs, architecture diagrams, solution blueprints, and RFP responses
Comfortable operating post-sale in a technical advisory capacity alongside delivery teams
Fluent professional English
Able to work independently in a remote environment and across time zones
Proven use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot for research, analysis, and workflow efficiency
Preferred: experience in sports, media, broadcast, or content management technology sectors
Preferred: knowledge of video codecs, transcoding, metadata standards, live ingest protocols, and content delivery workflows
Preferred: understanding of AI services and their application in video processing, automated tagging, data enrichment, and intelligent content discovery
Preferred: experience with Salesforce, Azure DevOps, and Monday.com
Preferred: familiarity with SAML/SSO, access control models, and enterprise media security and compliance requirements
