About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver testing solutions for a single product and/or participate in complex projects
- Lead straightforward projects that are not complex in nature
- Monitor and fine tune automation framework capabilities
- Drive innovative automated testing solutions focused on the customer
- Detect, highlight, and track bugs
- Perform activities according to quality criteria
- Operate with moderate guidance and direction
- Engage with cross-functional teams to execute projects
- Identify risks and ensure they are addressed
- Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with key customers
- Understand markets served, products, customers, and business rules
- Align QA Engineering work with product strategy and objectives
- Address routine objections and concerns, escalating when needed
- Create operating mechanisms to ensure all project-team voices are heard
- Identify opportunities to improve business and processes
- Communicate information clearly across mediums and audiences
- Assist colleagues and junior QA Engineers by solving problems, providing technical guidance, training, and mentoring
- Participate collaboratively in meetings, processes, and agile ceremonies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or Business-related degree preferred or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of software QA testing experience
- Test automation engineering experience with Selenium, Postman, Protractor and JMeter, with 3+ years of experience
- Experience testing web applications cross-browser and cross-device using automated test tools
- Experience testing data persistence systems using SQL and NoSQL DBMS, including MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and Dynamo
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or AzureDevOps
- Experience with Angular, Application Performance Management, Kibana, PowerBI, Tableau or Quicksight
- AWS Cloud development experience is a plus
- Data Science, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence experience
- Experience developing both front-end and back-end automation tests
- Understanding of security best practices for web development
- Knowledge of agile methodologies
- Proven ability to work within an agile environment
- Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into test cases
- Ability to interpret customer scenarios and convert them into manual and/or automated test scripts
