About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support financial advisors and clients of Pacific Northwest Consultants
- Handle sensitive and confidential member/customer communications
- Facilitate or co-present product-specific seminars and workshops
- Identify fund-selection criteria and track performance against indexes for WRAP accounts
- Participate in practice business planning
- Counsel prospective and current members/customers on suitable financial products and investment advisory services
- Open and complete product applications
- Conduct research and information gathering for securities recommendations and investment advice, including due diligence
- Obtain member/customer financial and suitability information
- Accept and enter securities trade orders, including unsolicited trade orders
- Explain and interpret insurance coverage, analyze exposures or policies, and provide recommendations
- Issue certificates of insurance, endorsements, binders, commitments, or insurance contracts
- Assist Financial Advisors with preparation and follow-up for client meetings
- Collaborate with financial representatives on client product changes
- Participate in and drive marketing services, including direct mail, fraternal activities, seminars, and meetings
- Perform additional responsibilities according to licensure and business needs
- Work with external clients and maintain relationships with outside organizations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Securities registration: Series 7 and 66, or Series 7, 63 and 65
- Resident state Life, Health and Annuities registration required
- Must be securities registered, insurance licensed, and appointed in all states where support work is performed for the sponsoring financial advisor
- Must be willing to complete appropriate state training to sell Long Term Care if required by the position or support needs
- Satisfactory background check, fingerprinting, and securities registration and/or insurance licensing verification, if applicable
- 2+ years of demonstrated customer service orientation/experience preferred
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain high-quality work amid frequent interruptions
- Ability to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential information
- Basic understanding of the sponsoring financial advisor, products and services, and Thrivent Financial
- Previous administrative/secretarial experience desired
- Must be able to work with all roles of the sponsoring financial advisor
- Must be able to represent the organization in work with external clients
- Must be able to cultivate and maintain relationships with outside organizations
- FINRA registration process requires fingerprint submission to the FBI
- Must be willing to work in or support the Spokane, Washington area; remote option is limited to qualified candidates
