About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management sessions
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
- Provide evidence-based psychiatric care for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, ADHD, and other mental health conditions
- Collaborate with therapists, case managers, social workers, and other multidisciplinary team members
- Maintain up-to-date clinical documentation within the EMR system
- Provide direct psychiatric care with the option to take leadership and clinical oversight responsibilities
- Provide clinical guidance and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Support the delivery of high-quality patient care
- Work approximately 35 clinical hours per week, handling 60–70 sessions depending on caseload and availability
- Impact client outcomes and support the professional development of psychiatric nurse practitioners
Requirements
What you’ll need- Medical Degree (MD or DO) with residency training in Psychiatry
- Board Certification in Psychiatry (ABPN)
- Active and unrestricted medical license in multiple states, or willing to get licensed in multiple states
- Deep understanding of the NP scope of practice in psychiatry and relevant state regulations
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and mentorship skills
- Must be licensed and located in the state of Florida
- Experience in outpatient psychiatry and/or telepsychiatry settings preferred
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care, integrated care, and/or addiction psychiatry (a plus)
- Multistate licensure or willingness to obtain additional licenses (if telehealth is part of the model)
- Experience with EMR systems and virtual collaboration tools
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire
- This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship, either now or in the future
