About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Grow and expand Thryv's SaaS clients in the local business market
  • Build a self-generated and company-initiated prospect pipeline to meet a predetermined sales quota
  • Prospect and qualify new business opportunities within an assigned territory
  • Identify local business owners who fit Thryv's platform
  • Secure new SaaS clients through networking, referrals, and company prospecting programs
  • Execute defined operational processes, engagement cadences, certifications, order-entry requirements, and intake forms
  • Participate in sales meetings, call calibrations, and training
  • Help grow local business market share
  • Hunt for new business and build a book of business from scratch
  • Educate and guide prospects through the buyer's journey
  • Partner with marketing and technology departments on sales strategy and product launches
  • Exceed sales quotas, build and nurture prospect pipelines, and close deals
  • Develop solutions that help customers succeed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of direct sales experience required, preferably in a SaaS role or company
  • 2+ years’ experience in an outbound sales full sales cycle role required
  • Industry knowledge and ability to thoroughly understand the Thryv product suite
  • Exceptional written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong emotional intelligence and adaptability
  • Ability to build relationships and manage expectations
  • Time and organization skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting demands
  • Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment and follow established processes and procedures
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn new programs and systems
  • High-speed internet and an acceptable home office setting
  • Proper business attire
  • Valid driver's license and personal transportation required
  • Must live local to Austin, Texas, within a 1-hour commute
